In celebration of yesterdays precipitation that was finally congruent with the spring season (RAIN!!!!! And a lot of it!), my thoughts obviously turned to bicycles.

While there is still a dangerous amount of debris (and in some places snow banks) in my normal bike routes, that cannot stop the tiny bubbles of excitement are tingling through my veins when I think about the magical time ahead. You don’t need me to tell you that this has been a long, hard winter, so the thought of gliding down the street on my wheels brings a giddy smile to my face.

I thought it was time to get my bike prepped for the season. No, I have not cleaned the chain or pumped my tires, I instead did the favourite activity of all teen movies:

Many of you have heard the heart-rending tale of woe with my failed attempt to paint my bike last year (*tiny sob*), so I thought I would take a different approach to adding a little razzle-dazzle to my trusty steed for the new season.

We will see how long it lasts in the elements, but for now, wave if you see me cruising around town. I will be the one on the rad bike grinning like a fool.
