A dear friend celebrated his quarter century birthday today, so we took the chance to sample some of the best eats in the 613 and took a wander through the park.
First stop? Cafe My House. Wonderful vegetarian, gluten-free eats, and AMAZING coffee. (Made with a Hario Ceramic Dripper. I may need expand my coffee science to consider this technique). Cafe My House was able to accommodate all my strange food allergies, and these flaxseed waffles with date-maple caramel. Pretty dreamy.
There was plenty of good cheer, great food, and epi love to go around.
Then there were donuts. so.many.donuts.
We then headed up to Gatineau Park to enjoy the last of the fall colours and some spectacular vistas.
The birthday boy and his bro:
I couldn’t resist taking a pic of these bikes. (I know, I have a problem…).
Then we found the “greatest bench ever”.
The view wasn’t terrible either.
A great way to celebrate a such a fun guy.
Looking forward to doing it again in 25 years! 😛
