1. Squeak across the singing sands
This is a weird one. What looks like a standard lovely white sand beach has a secret squeak. When you shuffle your feet along the sand at Basin Head beach, it sings! Or more specifically, makes a strange squeaking sound.
Apparently it is not fully know why this occurs – it likely has to do with the high silica content in the sand and the rounded small sand grains. The friction of your feet dragging through the sand may generate the sound waves bouncing between the grains.
2. Hunt for shells on the gorgeous red sand beaches of Canoe Cove
3. Eat lobster at the Lobster Barn and the Seafood Shack.
The classic lobster roll was excellent and I HIGHLY recommend the lobster grilled cheese.
4. Chanel your at the Confederation Bridge
You should pop by the longest bridge in Canada – a 12.9k bridge that links PEI to New Brunswick when doing your PEI tour. It is indeed a very long bridge.
5. Biking in a bucolic paradise
PEI is a picturesque place to ride – quite flat, and very pretty. We rented ebikes and cruised along part of the Confederation trail, which was great!
6. Learn about the magnificent potato at the Potato Museum
There is a lot to love in about the humble spud. You can learn all about this marvelous carb at the Potato Museum. Be sure to get some potato soup before you go – it was excellent!
7. Savour Parks Canada red chair moments

8. Sample the legendary Cows ice cream
There are 3 locations of Cows Ice cream in Charlottetown and it is definitely worth a stop. You can also enjoy their punny and excellent merch!
9. Enjoy the beautiful bits hiding around every corner
Be sure to enjoy the lounge chairs at the Charlottetown airport before leaving the island.
